Calique Barnes is a youth advocate, preacher, author, and entrepreneur from Washington, D.C. He began preaching at just six years old and was licensed as a minister at twelve under Bishop Timothy D. Proctor Sr. at Prayer and Praise Ministries, his home church since the age of four.
A former Student Representative on the DC State Board of Education (SY 24-25), Alumnus of Thurgood Marshall Academy (Class of 2025) and a current student at the illustrious Morehouse College (Class of 2029). Calique is passionate about faith, leadership, and empowering the next generation.
He is the Founder and CEO of LeadDC Youth Empowerment, owner of Barnes Digital Design & Media, host of the Youth ReCharge Chronicles Podcast, and the author of Leading while Bleeding: Youngin’s Path to Leadership.
